IGDC 2024 Awards nominee list has been released and we have some great contenders for each of the categories.
The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) 2024 happening in HICC, Hyderabad over 11-13 November will dish out the IGDC 2024 Awards on 14 November. These awards celebrate exemplary efforts by Indian game developers in honing their craft of storytelling through breathtaking visuals and immersive gameplay.
The IGDC Awards hosts several categories. Entries in each of these are rigorously evaluated by a panel international jury that comprises leaders from different areas of the gaming industry.

IGDC 2024 Awards Categories
The IGDC Awards are spread across 12 categories. These are:
- Mobile Game of the Year: This award goes to the most excellent mobile game.
- PC/Console Game of the Year: This award goes to the most excellent PC/Console game
- AR/VR Game of the Year: This award goes to the best AR/VR game.
- Indie Game of the Year: This award goes to the best game created by an indie or indie team
- Best in Visual Arts: This award goes to the game with the most striking visuals.
- Student Game of the Year: This award goes to the most excellent game created by a student.
- Best in Game Play: This award goes to the game that has the best gameplay
- Upcoming Game of the Year: This award goes to the most excellent under development/unreleased game
- International Game Award: This award goes to a game created by a non-Indian entity.
- Popular Choice Award: This award is given to that game which gets the most number of votes by the attendees and viewers of IGDC.
- Woman in Game of the Year: This jury award goes to a female performer in the industry.
- Hall of Fame: This jury award goes to an industry veteran.
