KRAFTON India has launched the first-ever BGMI Player Transfer Window, bringing a new era of professionalism, transparency, and strategy to Indian esports.

In a landmark move for the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports ecosystem, KRAFTON India has officially introduced the BGMI Player Transfer Window, a structured system that formalises how players move between esports clubs. Inspired by traditional sports like football and IPL, this initiative marks a major step toward professionalising India’s competitive gaming scene.
What Is the BGMI Player Transfer Window?
The Player Transfer Window is a designated period during which esports teams can officially sign, trade, or release players. This system ensures that all roster changes happen transparently, fairly, and in compliance with tournament regulations.
Key Details:
- First Window: October 1 to November 15, 2025
- Next Window: April 1, 2026
- Transfers can only be made during these official windows
- Free agents (unaffiliated players) can join teams at any time
This structure prevents last-minute roster swaps and mid-tournament surprises, promoting stability and accountability across teams.
How the Transfer System Works
All transfers are managed through the KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) Dashboard, ensuring full oversight and transparency:
- Each club is linked to a verified Owner or In-Game Leader (IGL).
- The IGL logs into the KIE dashboard and navigates to “My Teams”.
- They can invite, release, or approve player requests.
- The final roster is submitted for verification by KRAFTON India.
- Once approved, the team becomes eligible for official and third-party-sanctioned tournaments.
Each club can register one active team of 4 to 5 players, ensuring balanced and competitive gameplay.
Why This Matters for Players and Teams
The new system gives teams greater control over their rosters while increasing accountability. Every transaction is logged, verified, and publicly trackable, reducing disputes and ensuring fair play.
For players, it means:
- Clear pathways to join or switch teams
- Protection through formal contracts
- Opportunities to showcase talent during free agency
For clubs, it allows strategic planning before major events like BMIC 2025 and PMGC 2025, enabling rebuilds, trades, and long-term team development.
Why Fans Should Care
This change will transform how fans engage with BGMI esports:
- Expect roster drama, org rivalries, and social media buzz as players switch teams.
- Teams will now face public scrutiny over their choices—every move will be visible and debated.
- The system adds strategic depth to the off-season, making pre-tournament speculation more exciting.
Fans might soon see stars like Omega, Punk, or Aaru in new jerseys, sparking fresh rivalries and team dynamics.
Well, KRAFTON has invested over ₹200 crore in India since 2021, supporting startups, hosting elite events like BGIS and BMPS, and growing BGMI’s player base to over 240 million downloads. The Player Transfer Window is another step in aligning Indian esports with global standards.
