The legendary map's creator FMPONE has shared yet more sneak peeks of his Cache remake in CS2.
The hype around a potential return of the community-favorite map Cache is steadily increasing. Now, we've received a sneak peek of the map!
Is Cache finally returning to Counter-Strike?
The map's creator FMPONE has shared yet more screenshots of his current work remaking Cache in CS2 on Twitter/X.
His latest set of images focus on the pathway from the terrorist's spawn area towards the A-Bombsite.
These fresh images were shared by FMPONE just three weeks after his last tweet about the remaking process.

FMPONE created a total of seven competitive maps over the course of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. So, we are of course hoping these make it into CS2 eventually.
The map's origins go back all the way to CS:Source. Cache was first added to CS:GO in 2013. You can see what it looked like in CS:GO here:
It was beloved by the community immediately and became the first community map to feature in the game's Active Duty Map Pool.
In 2019 however, Valve decided to remove it from the Competitive Pool and it underwent its first remake.
With the transition from CS:GO to CS2, the map has been removed from the game.
Whether Valve will add the soon-to-be-finished map into the game remains to be seen. Given that it is made by FMPONE though, it seems very likely.
Do you think Cache will finally return in the near future?
