In a conversation with Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, Elon Musk revealed why he wouldnt start playing League of Legends again.

According to the video, he seems wary of the game’s potential for addiction.

"[That] would damage the space program."

he said with a grin to Kai Trump, likely referring to LoL’s addictive nature.

Musk ranks among the best Diablo players, though

Elon Musk recently went viral for his Diablo 4 performance. Despite claiming he doesn’t play Diablo 4 that much, he briefly ranked among the top 20 Diablo 4 players worldwide.

Diablo is an action RPG focused on PvE adventures: players fight through dark worlds, gather loot, and customize their characters.

LoL, on the other hand, is a competitive MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) where you team up in fast-paced 5v5 matches to strategically control the map and secure victory.

Its emphasis lies on tactics and teamwork, not story or exploration.

In that sense, aside from their visuals, the two games are, of course, not very similar.

League of Legends seems to intimidate Elon

In the clip posted on X, Musk is first asked if he plays Fortnite.

To this, Musk replies simply:

"Uh, no. I did play Quake and a bunch of other first-person shooters.”

He is then asked off-camera whether he plays League of Legends. Musk responds:

“If I started playing League, it would damage the space program.”

Most viewers on X interpret his playful tone and relaxed response as a sign that Musk might actually enjoy LoL but is too concerned about its potential to pull him in and distract from his other commitments.

LoL does have quite the reputation, though and the opinions are often quite similar:

While others are sure that:
