T1 mounted a comeback in the 2025 League of Legends World Championship Grand Final against KT Rolster, closing the series 3:2 to claim their third straight title and sixth overall, a record unmatched in the game’s history. The decisive match reached over 6.7 million peak concurrent viewers, making it the second most popular event in esports history (excluding Chinese streaming platforms).
Worlds 2025 ranked as the second most popular event in both League of Legends and all of esports, behind only the 2024 edition. During the closing minutes of the fifth map, broadcasts peaked at over 6.7 million live viewers, thus surpassing Worlds 2023.
