All the teams and groups for the PMGC 2024 League Stage have just been announced as the global championship is about to start.
The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 is one of the biggest PUBG Mobile events of the year, and the groups for the League Stage have been announced. This tournament is a huge deal, with 48 teams from around the world competing for a share of a $3 million prize pool. Let’s break down what’s happening and who’s playing.
PMGC 2024
PMGC 2024 brings together the best teams from all over the globe. The competition starts with the League Stage on October 31, 2024, and it’ll go on until November 24. After that, the best teams will move on to the Grand Finals, which will be held in London from December 6 to 8. There’s a lot at stake because only the top 16 teams will get to compete in the PMGC 2024 finals.
PMGC 2024 League Stage: How It Works
The League Stage is split into three parts: the Group Stage, the Survival Stage, and the Last Chance. The teams have been divided into three groups: Red, Green, and Yellow. Each group will battle it out, and the top three teams from each group will move straight to the Grand Finals. The bottom five teams will be eliminated, while the remaining eight from each group will fight in the Survival Stage for one last shot at the finals.

PMGC 2024 Prize Pool and Slot Distribution
The prize pool for this year’s tournament is a whopping $3 million. Out of the 48 teams, 15 will qualify for the Grand Finals, and there’s already one team, Guild Esports from the UK, that got a direct spot in the Finals. Here’s how the slots for the PMGC 2024 League Stage were distributed:
- Southeast Asia (SEA): 11 teams
- Central and South Asia (CSA): 9 teams
- Americas: 8 teams
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa): 10 teams
- Invited Slots: 15 teams, including IHC Esports and Guild Esports
So far, 47 teams have been confirmed, and two more will join soon from China and the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup (Korea vs Japan).
Unfortunately for Indian fans, no teams from India will be playing in PMGC 2024. Even though fans hoped a team like XSpark might get an invite due to their amazing performance in Indian tournaments, the organizers invited IHC Esports from Mongolia instead. This marks the third year in a row without an Indian team in the PMGC.
Overall, PMGC 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting tournament with some of the best PUBG Mobile teams in the world. While Indian fans may be disappointed by the lack of a local team, there’s still plenty to look forward to, with big names like FaZe Clan, Vampire Esports, and more battling it out for the top spot.
