The PMWC 2026 is set to be one of the biggest PUBG Mobile tournaments we’ve seen so far, now hosted in Paris as part of the Esports World Cup 2026. With a new 32–team format, three competitive stages, and a stacked team list that includes Indian fan-favorites GodLike and Orangutan, this World Cup is loaded from top to bottom.

PMWC 2026 schedule and prize pool

PMWC 2026 will be played from August 6 to August 16, 2026, inside the EWC26 window in Paris. The tournament features a massive $3 million prize pool, with 32 teams from around the world battling for the title and their share of the money.

The event is split into three stages:

  • Group Stage: August 6–9
  • Survival Stage: August 11–12
  • Grand Finals: August 14–16

So it’s not a short sprint. Teams need to stay sharp for almost two weeks.

PMWC 2026 Format: Group Stage, Survival Stage, Grand Finals

The updated format for PMWC 2026 leans on endurance and consistency:

Group Stage (Aug 6–9)

  • 32 teams divided into two groups of 16
  • Each group plays 12 matches
  • Top 10 teams overall advance directly to the Grand Finals
  • Teams finishing 6th–13th in their groups move to Survival Stage
  • Bottom three teams from each group are eliminated

Top teams go straight to finals, mid teams get one more life, and the bottom get cut.

Survival Stage (Aug 11–12)

  • 16 teams play 12 more matches
  • Top 6 teams earn the remaining Grand Finals slots
  • Bottom 10 teams are eliminated

This is basically the last-chance stage. If a strong team slips in groups, this is where they can climb back.

Grand Finals (Aug 14–16)

  • 16 teams total: 10 from Group Stage + 6 from Survival Stage
  • 18 matches across three days (6 per day)

On the final day, the classic Smash Rule comes back. Teams must reach a points threshold to become championship contenders with a Chicken Dinner. Once a team hits that threshold, any Chicken Dinner they secure can lock the title. If nobody converts it into a win, then total points decide the champion. It’s brutal but makes the last day insanely tense.

Confirmed teams for PMWC 2026

So far, 29 of the 32 teams have been locked in, with three more to be confirmed via China PEL points and the Rivals Cup for Japan and Korea.

Highlights from the confirmed list include:

  • India: GodLike Esports, Orangutan
  • Myanmar: Yangon Galacticos (defending champions with a direct invite)
  • Indonesia: Bigetron By Vitality, RRQ RYU
  • South Asia: 4Trives (Pakistan), Horaa Esports (Nepal), GOAT Team (Central Asia), TT Project (Kyrgyzstan)
  • MENA: AlUla Club Esports, Nigma Galaxy, 721 Esports, Geekay Esports
  • Africa: Game Point
  • Turkey: ULF Esports, Gaming Stars Esports, S2G Esports, IDA Esports
  • Americas: Hustler Crew (USA), Wolves Esports (North America), FURIA and Alpha Esports (Brazil)
  • East Asia: All Gamers International (China), NongShim RedForce (Korea), DOPENESS (Japan)

Yangon Galacticos come in as defending champions from PMWC 2025, so they’re the ones everyone’s aiming to knock down.

India at PMWC 2026

For Indian fans, PMWC 2026 is big because GodLike Esports and Orangutan both made it through. These are two of the most followed PUBG Mobile lineups in the country, and having both in Paris puts India firmly back in the global conversation.

With the new 32–team format, there’s more room for underdogs and new regions, but also more chaos. Indian teams will have to navigate stronger competition across Group and Survival stages before even touching Finals.

Where to watch PMWC 2026?

All PMWC 2026 matches will be streamed live:

  • On official Esports World Cup YouTube and Twitch channels
  • On regional PUBG Mobile Esports channels with language–specific commentary

If you’re watching from India, keep time zones in mind: Paris (CEST) is 3.5 hours behind IST, so a 6 PM Paris lobby starts around 9:30 PM IST; perfect evening watch time.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Paris, PMWC is part of the EWC26 schedule at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with tickets available through the Esports World Cup website. Tournament passes and daily passes are game-specific, so you’ll need PUBG Mobile–specific tickets to watch PMWC live.

All in all, with a $3 million prize pool, Smash Rule in the Grand Finals, and 32 teams in the mix, PMWC 2026 at EWC26 is set up to be one of the most competitive and chaotic PUBG Mobile events so far. Defending champs Yangon Galacticos, giants like Bigetron and Alpha7, and rising squads from South Asia and MENA all get one shared stage.
