Pokemon UNITE World Championship 2025 Tournament Structure

The Pokemon Unite Championship is split into two main stages:

Group Stage (August 15)

All 27 teams are divided into eight groups—some with four teams, some with three. Teams play a single round-robin in their group, with each match a best-of-three series. Only the top two from each group advance to the Playoffs. The rest? It’s a tough end to the road.

Playoffs (August 16–17)

The 16 teams that make it out of groups jump into a single-elimination bracket. Lose once, and you’re out—so every move matters. The Semifinals and Grand Final are played on the same day (August 17), with both the Semifinals and Grand Final being best-of-five for maximum drama.

Prize Pool Breakdown

There’s a cool half a million dollars at stake this year. Here’s how the money’s split:

  • 1st Place: $100,000
  • 2nd Place: $70,000
  • 3rd–4th Place: $50,000
  • 5th–8th Place: $37,500 each
  • 9th–16th Place: $10,000 each

Even teams that just squeeze into the playoff bracket get paid, making each win along the way count.
