S8UL Esports has claimed the inaugural Legends Ascend South Asia 2025 trophy and a spot in the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Wild Card Playoffs.

The first-ever Legends Ascend South Asia has crowned its champion. S8UL Esports, one of the region’s most popular and accomplished organisations, has finished on top after a stacked, months-long tournament, earning them a shot at the LCP Wild Card Playoffs (August 28–31, 2025). There, they’ll face top Pacific teams for a shot at promotion into the 2026 LCP season.
How Legends Ascend South Asia 2025 Went Down?
Organised by Riot Games and Aftermath Ventures, Legends Ascend was designed to put South Asian League of Legends talent on the map. With 95 teams from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan chasing a ₹10,00,000 prize pool, the stakes were high—and so was the drama.
The tournament kicked off in April 2025 with three open qualifiers. From these, nine teams advanced: S8UL Esports, Kakao Gaming, PnX ASCENSION, Revenants, SUVO HATERS, Jetfire’s Dojo, Syndicate, Poro Patrol, and Report Precog Gaming. These squads battled through a round robin league stage in June and July, with only four—S8UL Esports, Kakao Gaming, Revenants, and Syndicate—making it to the double-elimination playoffs.
The playoffs in July and August were a tense, back-and-forth affair, with S8UL Esports proving to be the most consistent and adaptable of the bunch. Their fearless drafting and killer teamwork ultimately paid off, landing them in the Grand Finals and then, atop the podium.
The event wasn’t just a hit in-game—it resonated with fans across the region. Over 29 broadcast days, the tournament racked up 1.3 lakh YouTube views on the FragNation channel, with a total reach exceeding 7 lakh. There were also 12 community watch parties at grassroots esports hubs, adding another 1.25 lakh views and highlighting how much local love there is for League of Legends.
