China’s Weibo Gaming claimed the TFT throne at the Esports World Cup 2025, overcoming a stacked international field and a resilient Virtus.pro in the Grand Finals.

The Teamfight Tactics (TFT) event at the Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 25) in Riyadh has wrapped, and Weibo Gaming (WBG) are your champion.

Weibo Wins TFT EWC 2025 Finals
Sixteen of the world’s best TFT teams entered the tournament, split into four groups for the Group Stage (August 11–13).
Weibo Gaming—comprising players Yin “Saopimi” Shengjie, Wu “Guan” Jinxin, Yao “LingBaoTianZun” Chuanheng, and Zhang “TianLong” Tianlong, already emerged as favourites by dominating their group and securing early wins over T1, Al Qadsiah Esports, and Team Vitality.

TFT EWC 2025 Grand Finals: Weibo Gaming vs. Virtus.pro
The Grand Final was a true international showdown: China’s Weibo Gaming versus Vietnam’s Virtus.pro.
WBG started strong, with all four members finishing in the top four of the opening game. VP answered back in game two, with Milo, K1an, and Maris taking the podium—tying the series and proving this would be no walkover.
Game three was a testament to the ever-evolving TFT metagame. Saopimi hit the jackpot with his first augment, Caretaker’s Ally, which granted a free 2-cost Gangplank every time he levelled up. With Saopimi and VP’s Milo the last two standing, Saopimi clinched the win to put WBG at match point.
From there, WBG’s momentum proved unstoppable, and they sealed the victory in game four, winning the series 3-1. WBG’s flexible comps and high-tempo strategy gave them a decisive edge in every late-game decision.
