Over the past few days, we've seen a steady stream of disappointing updates about Assassin's Creed: Shadows.

AC Shadows delayed, are Ubisoft cooked?

Assassin's Creed Shadows was going to be released on November 12, 2024. To prepare players for this, Ubisoft has been jumping from event to event and showing off the game. It looked awesome, but sadly, Ubisoft just announced that AC Shadows will be delayed to February 2025.

Ubisoft wrote in an update about its financial targets that AC Shadows is ready, but they will delay it due to the poor reception that Star Wars Outlaws received on release.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will now be released on 14 February 2025. While the game is feature complete, the learnings from the Star Wars Outlaws release led us to provide additional time to further polish the title.

The press previews were supposed to come out next week, but Ubisoft has decided to postpone the embargo for the previews to an unknown date.If they need more time, they should definitely get it. After all the controversy, the last thing the publisher needs is another poorly-received game.

And seeing the leaked footage of AC Shadows, it really does seem like they are on the right track to revive their biggest franchise.

What do you think? Are you excited for Assassin's Creed Shadows?
