We sure hope you're a fast typer!

Can't type fast to save your life? Well, that's a disadvantage in this new survival horror game!
Blood Typers is a co-op survival horror game for up to 4 players, but with a twist: Everything you want your character to do needs to be typed out. It was developed and published by Outer Brain Studios, released in February 2025, and is available on Steam for Windows 10 and 11.
The full game has a price of $9.99 or 9,75€ but there's a free demo available that you can test out if you're not sure whether you'll like it or not.
A Horrifying Movie Studio
Navigate a warped, procedurally generated movie studio and fend off relentless horrors by typing out combat commands. It's only revealed what you need to type to save yourself once you encounter your enemies – mistype, and you might not live to correct it. Don't worry: whether you’re a casual typer or a speed demon, adjustable difficulty lets you set the pace of terror.
You and your friends can strategize together... but don't stray too far from each other because the game has proximity-based VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), so you can only hear each other if you're close enough – otherwise, you might just miss their last screams.
You'll face a limited inventory, locked doors, and difficult choices – do you grab shotgun shells or a sandwich? Choose wisely. Every level is a new nightmare filled with secrets, weapons, and dilemmas. And despite its unusual mechanics, Blood Typers brings back old-school horror vibes.

Reviews
With 95% positive reviews on Steam, Blood Typers has gotten very good feedback. Let's see what the users have to say:
This is literally Typing of the Dead gameplay with the structure of Resident Evil Outbreak, and I'm here for it. I also believe the game should be played with friends, as playing by yourself less fun, especially if you're experienced in Classic Survival Horror games. I hope there's more content to come like more scenarios and maybe another character or two. Very solid 8/10 - Noyd Arrington on Steam
Play the demo. No description or video can fully show how well this game works. I never would have expected such an intense and entertaining experience based around typing. I had my doubts but I gave the demo a shot and fell in love! Absolutely thrilling way to practice your typing. - curtpow on Steam
