Kyle Crane, the beloved protagonist of the first game, is making a comeback in a standalone title, Dying Light: The Beast. BTW, no need to take out the calculator—yes, 2015 is actually 10 years ago. Sniff. Here’s everything you need to know about the festivities and what lies ahead for the franchise.
10th Anniversary Events

Plus, classic modes like Hypermode (watch those zombies fly!) and Super Crane are making a temporary return. Not to mention, special skin bundles and in-game rewards are also up for grabs.
Meanwhile, in Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the festivities kick off with its biggest-ever discount and the introduction of permanent Tower Raid mode starting February 19. The Future of Dying Light
Techland isn’t stopping at just celebrations. The 2025 roadmap promises a packed year for Dying Light 2, with seasonal updates to keep things fresh:
- Spring: Major gameplay improvements and technical updates.
- Summer: A brand-new in-game event and more surprises.
- Fall: The Fall Update paired with a limited-time Halloween event.
- Winter: Winter Tales returns to bring some chilly, zombie-slaying fun.
But the crown jewel of Techland’s plans is Dying Light: The Beast, releasing in summer 2025. This standalone adventure reintroduces Kyle Crane, with Roger Craig Smith reprising his iconic role. It’s set to expand the lore while delivering the intense parkour and combat fans love. Beyond that, Techland aims to grow the franchise into a multimedia phenomenon, with plans for board games, webcomics, and exclusive merchandise already in motion.
