Epic Games is breaking new ground with Fortnite Ballistic. The upcoming title aims to challenge established games like CS:GO and Valorant, offering a fresh take on the tactical shooter experience. With a new teaser, Epic Games not only revealed Ballistic, but also announced that Early Access will begin on December 11.

A new twist on tactical shooters

Ballistic is a 5v5 round-based first-person shooter that offers intense, strategic gameplay. You can compete in both casual and ranked matches, where the main objective is to plant or defuse the "Riftpoint Device" – a goal that adds a tactical layer to the game. Unlike Battle Royale, there are no respawns, and a round can end when an entire team is eliminated.

As in other tactical shooters, the economy plays a crucial role. Kills earn credits that can be spent on weapons and gadgets. Alternatively, you can scavenge fallen enemies for their equipment. A key feature is that if a player survives a round, they keep their equipment, except for consumables.

Ballistic allows you to use your existing Fortnite cosmetics to customize your characters. Outfits, shoes, backpacks, and more can be transferred to the new game, creating a seamless connection between the two titles. Whether you're a seasoned Fortnite player or new to the franchise, your skin collection is waiting for you in Ballistic.
