League of Legends TCG: Release
League of Legends is finally getting a physical TCG game. Unfortunately, this project doesn't have a fixed release date. It will be gradually released across different markets - in China, it's supposed to be released in early 2025. Game Developer Dave Guskin has stated that they aim to release it in English-speaking countries later in 2025 and even more regions in 2026.

In a post on the official Riot Games website, it was revealed that Riot Games is partnering with UVS Games, the studio behind the UniVersus TCG - so they're working with a studio that already has plenty of experience with TCGs!
League of Legends TCG: Gameplay
Planning to garner a big community of players as quickly as possible, Executive Producer Chengran Chai has revealed that this TCG will have organized play, which will include store, regional, and national tournaments.
The game will also have a multiplayer format. Not only will you be able to duel your friends in a 1v1, but it will also have 2v2 and four-player free-for-all modes!
The TCG is set in the Runeterra universe of LOL, featuring characters, places, equipment, and key moments from the lore.
Players can create decks consisting of 40 cards and compete to occupy Battlefields, aiming to reach eight points by capturing these locations.
The gameplay involves deploying units, equipping them with gear, and using special abilities to gain an advantage. Each player's deck is led by a Champion, a well-known League of Legends character, whose Rune (color) combination shapes the deck’s strategy.
