Are we living in a golden age for video game adaptations? We had The Last of Us. We had Arcane. And now, Fallout is reaching new heights with this year's Emmy Award nominations. The post-apocalyptic runner-up has received 16 nominations this year!
Amazon has proved multiple times that they can make great television. The Boys is one of the most watched and critically acclaimed shows of the last few years.
Fallout follows in its footsteps with a whopping 94% Tomatometer and 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Fallout Rocks The Emmys
Fallout was just nominated for 16 Emmy Awards. That is incredible, especially for a video game adaptation. The nominations even include, Best Actor and Outstanding Drama Series.
The Amazon Original is now ranked fifth in overall nominations for the 2024 awards. True Detective: Night Country takes the fourth spot with 19 nominations,Only Murders in the Building has 21, the Bear got 23 and Shogun is at the top with 25 nominations.
I am overjoyed that video game adaptations are getting so much love these days, and Fallout has proven that once again! But what do you think about the show? Does Walton Goggins have a real shot at getting the award for Best Actor?
