Remedy revealed its new co-op shooter at Microsoft's partner preview event.
FBC: Firebreak is the name of Remedy Entertainment's new IP, an FPS in which we fight aliens with ridiculous weapons.
Battle hordes of mutants with exploding garden gnomes
In Remedy's new first-person shooter, scheduled for 2025, we play with up to two friends as members of the "Firebreak Group", tasked with saving the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) from alien forces.
As the Federal Bureau of Control's headquarters faces a deadly and prolonged siege by otherworldly forces, only Firebreak-its most adaptable response unit-has the skills and courage to restore order.FBC: Firebreak releases in 2025. Wishlist now! pic.twitter.com/XTHRmRhCqb

The trailer already gives us a small impression of the direction the game will take. The environment reminds of Remedy's last shooter, Control, which also takes place in a mysterious government building.
But the real focus here is on crazy weapons. We get a rifle that pushes enemies back and can be used to bounce off the ground, a grenade launcher with a crank that shoots poison grenades, and a launcher that fires exploding garden gnomes.
FBC: Firebreak is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and will be available on GamePass from day one.
We're thrilled to see co-op shooters finally making a small comeback. Even though we've recently had disasters like Redfall, we've also enjoyed gems like Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2.
What do you think about Remedy's new project? Has it won you over yet?
