- CPU: x86-64-AMD Ryzen Zen 2 8-core/16-thread
- GPU: An unspecified RDNA GPU at 16.7 TFLOPS
- RAM: GDDR6 16 GB (for graphics) + DDR5 2 GB (for operations)
- Power Supply: 390W
- Storage: 2TB SSD
Thanks to this new hardware, the PS5 Pro is capable of rendering 45% faster with 2-3x the ray-tracing. And it also comes with PlayStation's Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling (or PSSRU for short), which is supposed to improve resolution and quality in the same way NVIDIA's DLSS tech works.
The leaked specs of the PlayStation 5 Pro look especially impressive when compared with a standard PS5:
PS5 Pro | PS5 |
16.7 TFLOPS | 10 TFLOPS |
2TB SSD | 825GB SSD |
390W Max Power | 350W Max Power |
Added 2GB DDR5 Memory | - |
Added WiFi 7 Support | - |
Extra USB-C port replaces a USB-A port | - |
While the CPU remains similar to that of the standard PS5, the substantial GPU upgrade, increased memory, and enhanced storage suggest that the PS5 Pro will deliver a superior gaming experience, particularly for titles optimized to utilize its advanced capabilities.
What do you think about the leak? Will you get the PS5 Pro?
