Fans of Ghost of Tsushima soon can also enjoy an anime version of the game – and here’s everything that is known so far.

Since it was launched back in 2020, Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima has proven itself to be an important PlayStation exclusive title. Sony, recognizing its appeal, even greenlit a Ghost of Yotei sequel and also announced a live-action movie adaptation by John Wick director Chad Stahelski.

But there is even more to come: As announced during CES 2025, fans can be excited for an upcoming anime as well.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends

As the name of the anime Ghost of Tsushima: Legends already suggests, will the show be based on the game’s multiplayer mode known as “legends”, which takes a more mystical bent and focuses on a samurai, a hunter, a ronin and an assassin.

It’s more than likely that the show will feature the game’s unique style as well and probably tell a story around the four heroes and their ongoing battle with the fearsome Oni.

While there are not many details about the story so far, we can already say that the anime will be led by Takanobu Mizuno, director of “The Duel” from the Star Wars legends anthology series.

When and where can I watch Ghost of Tsushima: Legends?

So far, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is planned to be released sometime in 2027, without any more detailed information yet.

The show will be produced by Aniplex and can be watched exclusively on Crunchyroll.

As soon as there are more information about Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, we'll let you know – as always!
