By piecing together the few pieces of information we got so far, a YouTuber came to an interesting conclusion about the map's size.
According to a YouTuber the map of GTA 6 might be even bigger than the last one.
Information about GTA 6 is kind of rare, but when you gather all the small pieces we got so far, you might see the bigger picture – or the full map. That’s at least what a YouTuber did and according to a video by Dark Space, the map of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto will be way bigger than the last one.
Rockstar remains silent
Rockstar gave us little to no details about the game since the announcement trailer back in December of 2023, so fans had to start becoming creative with the few pieces they got. Some even started to build up theories upon the fact of not having any news.
Not willing to wait any longer, a YouTuber recreated the size and scope of GTA 6’s map based on different leaks, revealing just how huge it will be.
Dark Space uploaded a video titled “I made GTA 6 before GTA 6” using previously leaked information to create the map of Leonida – the city GTA 6 will take place in.

The graphic might not be the same as in the upcoming game, but as explained by Dark Space, it is “based on real range units from the leaks so it’s accurately sized“ with the intention behind all of this to show and compare GTA 6’s map to the one of the last game.
Flying with the same helicopter from the most southern point all the way up North, it took Dark Space about 3:30 minutes to pass the whole map of GTA 5 while it took just over six minutes for GTA 6. With that, the YouTuber wanted to demonstrate that the map of GTA 6 will be double the size.
In the video, the YouTuber comes to the conclusion:
The map is bigger this time, and the locations are much more varied. We’ve got a much bigger city and multiple other cities as well. A massive lake at the center and swamp lands in the South.
Dark Side explains how to continue and improve the work on the GTA 6 build with updated graphics, buildings and locations that might mirror what was shown in the first trailer more closely.
Are you excited for GTA 6? Do you think that a bigger map is a good sign for the quality of the game?
