The multiplayer focused Assassin's Creed Invictus will support 16 players at once in gameplay similar to Fall Guys. Sounds wacky, could be awesome.
Assassin's Creed is a franchise in dire need of change, and simply oscillating between huge open worlds like Valhalla and more traditional experiences like Mirage won't cut it. Perhaps the new multiplayer AC game, Invictus, will be the answer.
New details recently emerged about Invictus and frankly, we don't know what to think...
Assassin's Creed, but it's Fall Guys?
In 2022, Ubisoft announced multiple Assassin's Creed titles, including AC Shadows and Invictus. According to leaks, AC Invictus will be some kind of round-based elimination game, where players are fighting to be the last one standing, similar to Fall Guys.
No official information about the game has been disclosed by Ubisoft about Invictus, but this particular leaker shared some information on X.

He states that in the game, 16 players compete in multiple game modes, like Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All and some kind of race game mode.
If you qualify for the next round, you're able to choose abilities, which can function as a build. The gameplay will be very arcade-like, and two characters are already confirmed: Ezio Auditore and Cesare Borgia from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
The maps will consist of locations we already know from other AC games, like Baghdad from Mirage, Japan from the upcoming AC Shadows and one on an island similar to those in Black Flag.
Of course, all this is not yet confirmed by the developers, but if only half of this is true, then it means the franchise is at least moving in a new direction. We'll at least be keeping an open-mind about AC Invictus; if nothing else, this is an intriguing concept.
What do you think? Would you like to play a Fall Guys type game in the world of Assassin's Creed?
