Little Nightmare devs team up with Epic for upcoming sci-fi action game

Maybe this upcoming game will be as spooky as the Little Nightmares games!

Former developers of Little Nightmares have been working on a new game, and now they've managed to receive support from Epic Games for their production.

Section 9 announces partnership with Epic

On November 26, Section 9 Interactive announced on their Twitter/X account that they are entering a publishing partnership with Epic Games. They stated that Epic has already been helping them in making their vision come to life and that this partnership will help them immensely.

"Working with the Epic Games Publishing team has been an amazing experience for us," stated Gustaf Heinerwall, co-founder of Section 9 Interactive.

"Ever since our first meeting with the team at EGP, we felt that this partnership was a perfect fit for our studio. They’ve given us incredible support and the freedom to fully explore our creative vision, which is all we can ask for in a publisher. We are thankful for this opportunity, and excited for what comes next."

Epic Games also posted this news on their official Twitter/X account, specifying for fans that the game has not been officially announced but that the developers are hard at work.

Section 9 Interactive will still retain all the ownership rights and creative freedom in developing their game, but upon publishing it, Epic will take some of the sales shares. Section 9 will still get at least 50% of the money, likely more.

Sadly, we have little to no information on what this game will be about. The only thing that we do know is that it will become a sci-fi action game, which is certainly a step away from the creepy horror settings of the games of Tarsier Studios, where the founders had been working previously.

Or maybe this game will still make chills run down our spines and our heart rates go crazy, who knows!

Are you excited about this new game? Or are you skeptical about Epic Games' involvement? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
