The upcoming open-world game claims to be the coziest yet, and people seem to be excited for it!
Infinity Nikki doesn't even seem to be close to release, and yet over 30 million people have already signed up into pre-registration.
What is Infinity Nikki?
First announced in late 2022, Infinity Nikki is a game currently in development by studio Papergames and is being led by former Zelda developer Kentaro Tominaga. It claims to be "the coziest open-world game" and that looks to be very true from what we've seen in trailers.
In Infinity Nikki, we follow the protagonist Nikki and her companion Momo, who strangely get transported into a mysterious world: Miraland. A world full of magic and wonder.
In order to progress, Nikki needs to collect Whims, star-shaped floating items, that allow her to unlock all sorts of beautiful outfits. These outfits all come with a perk, too, because they allow for things like double jumping, gliding, petting animals and even fighting.
"With these outfits and her best friend Momo by her side, Nikki embarks on a journey with her courage and determination."
The world of Miraland is vast and packed to the brim with things to find and experience. There is no lack of adventures, minigames, puzzles, domains, and NPCs.
Infinity Nikki's pre-registration milestones
With Infinity Nikki surpassing the milestone of 30 million pre-registrations, all release rewards have been announced. Among these are a four-star outfit, a total of 20 Resonite Crystals, 300 Threads of Purity and 50,000 Blings — all of which imply that the game will include gacha elements.
Alongside these rewards, publisher InFold Pte. Ltd. released a new gameplay overview trailer: "Unfold Your Whim"
Unfortunately, there is no official release date yet. But we do know that Infinity Nikki will be available for PlayStation and PC, as well as Android and iOS devices.
