As announced by publisher HIKE and developer Studio N9, Project Tachyon will be released for PC via Steam on February 14 and will support English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

In the run-and-gun action shooter based on a roguelite system players will travel through time to fight the uprising of artificial intelligence in the future.

Fight the OMEGA AI

The Tamagerian Republic faces a crisis that might lead to its end, when the Mainframe OMEGA, an artificial intelligence, starts a rebellion against its human creators. After the last hope of humanity was a nuclear attack, Commander Elina secretly activates “Project Tachyon” to avoid the danger of a nuclear winter.

When Sigma, an agent of the project, travels back in time to solve problems of the future, they discover a shocking truth during this mission...

Project Tachyon

As explained on the games Steam page, Project Tachyon features a bunch of key elements to create a unique experience:

  • Engaging narration through a roguelite system: Travel through time to retain memories, understand the trauma of other characters and create deeper relationships with them to complete the project successfully.
  • Dynamic combat action using melee and ranged weapons: Wield an array of melee and ranged weapons while you engage in action-packed combats filled with enemies.
  • Roguelite gameplay: Choose from over 130 powerful genes in nine different categories and upgrade according to your preferences. Increase their power by unlocking powerful synergistic effects by gathering various types of enhancement genes.
  • Create strategies to adapt to each new situation: Find an efficient route through a map that varies every time you play it by coming up with new strategies, including different kinds of weapons and either save your stamina to fight big bosses or take more risks for a greater payout.
  • Giant boss raids: Monstrous bosses use a variety of gimmick patterns, so you have to upgrade your weapons and enhancement genes to overcome these even harder fights.

HIKE’s and Studio N9’s Project Tachyon will be released for PC via Steam on February 14.
