Since Disney acquired Lucasfilm and LucasArts from George Lucas in 2012, the Star Wars universe has steadily expanded.

This era has seen a surge of new content, though fan reception has varied widely.

While some offerings, such as Andor or The Mandalorian, brought fresh storytelling and high praise, others struggled to resonate with audiences, leaving fans divided.

The reception of Disney's Star Wars games reflects this inconsistency.

Titles like Star Wars: Outlaws failed to ignite widespread excitement, and Battlefront 2, despite improvements, fell short of nostalgic expectations.

Star Wars: Hunters Heads to Steam

Yet, not all entries have disappointed.

Jedi: Fallen Order emerged as a critical success, and now, Star Wars: Hunters is following suit as a promising addition to the franchise.

Already making its mark on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, Star Wars: Hunters has been officially announced for Steam.

After two test phases in December and early January, the arena shooter will enter Early Access at the end of January.

Launched earlier this year, Hunters has carved out a niche with its unique team-based gameplay and maintains a steady player base.

What it's about

Set in the Star Wars universe, Hunters pits teams of 4v4 players against each other in action-packed arena battles.

Players can choose from a diverse cast of characters, each with unique abilities that add strategic depth to the gameplay.
