The remaster of the old classic Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. just got announced to get a full PC release very soon.

What is Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.?

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is a remaster of the classic 3D fighter game with the same name, where you are tasked to challenge the greatest fighters in the world to a test of martial arts prowess and strength.

It is based on its predecessor Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown for PlayStation 4, but it adds a bunch of new elements — and fixes — to its gameplay and graphics.

Here are the key features of the game, taken from its official Steam page:

• The Ultimate Edition of this legendary game: Rollback Netcode support, gorgeous 4K visuals with updated high-res textures and more.
• Custom Combatants: Enter the ring with one of 19 playable characters. Master each of their unique fighting styles and customize them with distinctive costumes and items.
• The Full Experience: Enjoy the pinnacle of Virtua Fighter as you battle it out across your favorite modes like Rank Match, Arcade, Training, and Versus.
• Crush the Competition: Take on challengers from around the world as you compete with up to 16 players in new online modes including Tournaments and League.

We sadly do not yet have an exact release date, but we do know that it will launch sometime this winter, together with version 2.0 of Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown.

Are you excited to play Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
