After the game so far was only available for PC, PlayStation and Switch, you can play The Exit 8 now on the Xbox as well.

As announced by publisher Playism and developer Kotake Create, the eerie walking simulator The Exit 8 is now available for the Xbox via the Microsoft Store for $3,99.

More than a million downloads of The Exit 8

The game first launched for PC via Steam in November of 2023, in April 2024 for Nintendo Switch and for PlayStation 4 and 5 in August of 2024 with all versions combined being downloaded 1.4 million times worldwide.

The Exit 8

Playism calls their game a “short but sweet walking simulator inspired by Japanese underground passageways, liminal spaces, and the Backrooms.

Don’t overlook any anomalies. If you find anomalies, turn back immediately. If you don’t find anomalies, do not turn back. You are trapped in an endless underground passageway. Observe your surroundings carefully to reach “The Exit 8.”

They claim that “its anomaly-spotting gameplay has influenced the genre significantly, effectively creating a new subgenre.

After PC, Switch and PlayStation players already could find their way to The Exit 8, now Xbox players can try it out too on the Microsoft store for $3,99.
