Marvel Rivals has taken the gaming world by storm, quickly becoming one of the most popular titles on Steam. With its fast-paced action and massive player base, it’s no surprise that the game has become a fan favorite. However, a YouTuber named Shalzuth recently uncovered something quite concerning. In a video, he revealed a security flaw that could put players’ devices at serious risk. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Marvel Rivals news.

Marvel Rivals Security Flaw Exposed

The security flaw in Marvel Rivals was discovered by a YouTuber named Shalzuth, who revealed in a video that hackers could exploit a vulnerability in the game’s patch system. The issue lies in how the game updates its content, allowing malicious users to execute code on players' devices through a method called Remote Code Execution (RCE). This means that if a player connects to the game while on an unsecured Wi-Fi network, hackers could gain full control of their device.

What makes the situation worse is that the game runs with admin privileges, giving hackers easy access to sensitive information. This flaw could lead to stolen data, malware installation, or even ransomware attacks. Shalzuth demonstrated the exploit by gaining control of his own devices, highlighting just how dangerous this vulnerability could be.

Public Wi-Fi Hack Danger

Now, you might think you're safe because the hacker has to be physically close to you in order to access your Wi-Fi, but you need to think bigger in this case. Think about sitting in a café, connected to the same network as hundreds of other people, or even worse, imagine a large tournament with hundreds of people all connected to the same Wi-Fi, making them vulnerable to this attack.

So, what can you do to avoid falling victim to this nasty flaw? First, stay away from public Wi-Fi when playing Marvel Rivals, especially in crowded places. A VPN is your best friend here – use it to encrypt your connection and shield your device from prying eyes. Don’t forget to regularly update the game and make sure your security software is up to date. The devs may not have fixed the issue yet, but being proactive will keep you one step ahead of the hackers.

The crazy part of this story is that, although many other gaming news websites have reported this incident, the Shalzuth channel still has fewer than 200 subscribers, and the video has barely reached 10k views. Once again, Edward Snowden could have skipped those cold winter days in Russia because it seems absolutely nobody cares about cybersecurity.
