A list released by China has fans wondering, is this the Final Fantasy XIV we know?
What do Final Fantasy XIV Mobile, Rainbow Six, Dynasty Warriors and Marvel Rivals have in common? That's right, they will all be published in China soon.
China Leaked Final Fantasy XIV Mobile
A list of games that will soon be released in China has been posted by the NPPA (National Press Publication Administration). Fans have noticed that the name of Final Fantasy XIV Mobile is different from the PC and Console versions we know. The name of the mobile version is called: "Final Fantasy 14: Crystal Worlds".
Final Fantasy XIV.2 ?
Niko Partners' Daniel Ahmad, who is analyzing the video games market in Asia, says that Final Fantasy XIV Mobile is developed by Tencent and Square Enix and will be based on Final Fantasy XIV.
Does that mean we get a spin-off or a sequel, we don't know. But the fans are speculating that it will be an entirely new game, just reusing FF14's assets and story.

However, there is no confirmation from Square Enix and Tencent as yet. So until then, we still have plenty of time for the new add-on Dawntrail.
