Team Falcons from Thailand won the Free Fire World Cup 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was held from July 10 to 14. They scored 106 points in the overall standings and won two big matches in the Grand Finals. Their great performance not only earned them the championship title but also the $300,000 cash prize.
Evos Esports came in second position with 99 points, whereas the third place was secured by Netshoes Miners from Brazil with 90 points. And here we cover all that happened at the Free Fire Esports World Cup 2024 Finals and the overall standings.
Team Falcons: The Winner of Free Fire Esports World Cup 2024
The Free Fire World Cup 2024 ended yesterday with six matches to see which of the twelve teams would win and Team Falcons came out as the undefeated champions.
Team Falcons had an amazing journey. Even though they started the Grand Finals with just 1 point, they showed great determination and strategy to win the competition.
While any of the 12 teams could win, many were watching Buriram United Esports because they took the lead early in the Points Rush stage. People were also interested in LOUD, who started in 11th place, but that didn't happen as they were immediately docked five points for 'teaming' during the Grand Finals, a decision that also affected Team Solid. Nevertheless, it didn't matter much since both teams finished outside the top 5.
Throughout the tournament, Team Falcons showed great teamwork and skill. Their success was even more impressive because they had taken over CGGG's old Free Fire team in April 2024. After an average start, they made an amazing comeback in the Finals to win the championship.
Now, this victory makes Team Falcons the fourth team to earn a spot on the Esports World Cup 2024 podium.

Scandal and Penalties at Free Fire World Cup 2024
All was great at the event, however, the tournament was not without controversy. A drama started when two Brazilian teams, LOUD and Team Solid, were found guilty of teaming during the competition. This cheating got them each a five-point penalty, which hurt their rankings. LOUD ended up in 6th place with 62 points, and Team Solid finished last with 18 points.
Even with these issues, the event showed off the talent and hard work of all the teams. And Team Falcons' win at the Free Fire World Cup 2024 was icing on the cake which will be remembered as a big moment in esports.
