A new map in Penacony, new characters and lots more! Version 2.6 of Honkai: Star Rail looks set to impress, let's take a look.
Honkai: Star Rail streamed their Special Program "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age" a few days ago and gave us a lot of information about the upcoming version 2.6 updated.
Trailblaze Continuance Mission
Trailblazers are invited to Penacony Paperfold University as special guests! Together with Dan Heng and March 7th, we will, as Owlbert put it, "experience the joys of campus life." The university is celebrating its anniversary and has invited many people from all over the cosmos to their "truly special academic seminar."
The Trailblaze Continuance Mission is called Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja And Humanity, and it seems like what will await us is... monkeys? A "banana language"? How odd... But we're no less excited.
New Characters in 2.6
Two new characters were revealed in the 2.6 trailer: Mr. Reca and Rappa.
Mr. Reca is a filmmaker known throughout the entire cosmos for his craft, though he seems a tad bit over passionate. Sadly, we did not get to see whether he will be playable and what type of unit he would be.
Rappa is a different story, however! She will become the new event 5-star character in version 2.6. She is a Galaxy Hunter and seemingly good friends with our good pal Boothill, who says of her, "Holy forkaroni, she is strong!". So let's take a look at her kit...
Rappa's Kit
Rappa will be an Imaginary Erudition character.
With her technique, she jumps onto a skateboard and enjoys increased movement speed in the overworld. When entering battle with the technique activated, all enemies' weakness toughness gets reduced.
Her skill is pretty straightforward: she deals Imaginary Type DMG to all enemies.
The unique part about her kit is her Ultimate. She enters the Sealform state, and the camera goes into a first-person position. Rappa continuously attacks enemies in this state. The first hits deal Imaginary Blast DMG, while the final hit deals Imaginary DMG to all enemies. When Rappa is in the Sealform state, her Weakness Break Efficiency is increased, and she reduces enemies' toughness ignoring their Weakness type.

Events in 2.6
There are also many events awaiting us in version 2.6! Some bigger, some smaller.
Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription: Rappa needs your help! In the role of a band manager, you will travel to all sorts of different locations across the cosmos to find inspiration. In other words, you will play a lot of rhythm games, perform on stage in Penacony and even mix your own pieces of music.
Mr. Cold Feet's Pop-Up Store: Sampo wants to open up a new shop in Belebog, but he still needs a few things. Trailblazers will lend him a hand by bringing him some materials every day in exchange for generous rewards! Seriously, though, what is this guy even up to half of the time...?
Shadow of the Ranger: Once again, there are dozens of wanted notices for Boothill. And Rappa too, apparently? How odd. To learn more, you will need to send your characters on special assignments every day in exchange for rewards!
Garden of Plenty: The double rewards for Calyx (Golden) and Calyx (Crimson) return once more!
Planar Fissure: Same old for any Trailblazer that's been around for more than a month: double rewards for Planar Ornaments in Simulated Universe!
Gift of Odyssey: As with any new version and character, Trailblazers will receive a total of 10 Star Rail Special Passes over the course of 7 days by logging in and claiming the reward in the event menu.
Simulated Universe DLC
The Simulated Universe is getting yet another DLC update, called the Unknowable Domain, which will introduce new combat rules.
Instead of Blessings or Equations, combat buffs will rely on "Scepters" that need specific conditions to be met during combat for their effects to be activated. Scepters can be levelled up and combined to create interesting effects to help Trailblazers during their exploration of the Unknowable Domain.
Minor additions with 2.6
There will be new Imaginary Ascension Material called "Chordal Mirage" found in Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Timbre.
And there will be two new Cavern Relic sets: "Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal" and "Scholar Lost in Erudition" both found in the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Uncertainty. We will learn about their effects when the version launches.
And that is everything we know so far about version 2.6 update.
