Carnival Gaming had a tough journey in the Skyesports Showdown Playoffs. After winning their first game 2-0 against Marcos Gaming, they faced True Rippers and initially won a game in the best-of-three series but ended up losing 2-1. They then dropped to the lower bracket and secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Victores. In the Grand Finals, they faced True Rippers again and this time emerged victorious with a 2-0 win, becoming the Skyesports Showdown Champions.
Commenting on the team's journey from formation to this victory, Carnival Gaming's SpawN said, “Our start was rough because our roster was made up of players from different teams. So the mentality and synergy we had towards the game were different and it took us a while to adapt. A lot of people said that our roster wouldn’t work. But, within a month, we have been able to win this tournament.”
With the victory, Carnival Gaming will walk away with INR 70,000 of the INR 100,000 prize pool. Next up, the team will be preparing for the India Qualifier for the Skyesports Championship 2024. The main event of the Championship is set to take place as an on-ground event with teams from around the world competing for a share of the $200,000 prize pool.
