The new Battlegrounds Mobile India map, Rondo, is set to replace Sanhok at the upcoming BMSD 2025 Grand Finals.

Exciting news for BGMI fans as Rondo officially joins the competitive map pool for the BMSD 2025 Grand Finals. Krafton India has announced that this latest map will take Sanhok’s place in the finals, marking a major shift in the tournament’s dynamics and giving players a fresh battleground to master.
Rondo Replaces Sanhok at BMSD 2025 Grand Finals
The BMSD 2025 Grand Finals will be held from October 10 to 12 at the Tesseract Arena in Hyderabad. During these finals, teams will play six matches on the Rondo map instead of Sanhok.
This is a critical update since Rondo has now been added to the global esports circuit with the upcoming PMGC 2025 (PUBG Mobile Global Championship). Indian teams, however, have yet to play any official BGMI match on this map, making this their first major opportunity to gain competitive experience on Rondo.
Importance for Indian Teams
The champion team from BMSD 2025 will qualify directly for PMGC 2025, while the top 8 teams will proceed to the BGMI International Cup 2025.
This international cup includes top teams from South Korea and Japan competing for PMGC slots. Practising and competing on Rondo during BMSD provides vital preparation and confidence for Indian teams ahead of these global challenges.
BMSD 2025 Finals Format and Schedule
The grand finals feature 16 teams that qualified through the league stage. They will compete in 18 matches spread across three maps: Erangel, Miramar, and the new addition, Rondo.
This makes the competition even more strategic as teams adapt to different terrains and gameplay styles on Rondo compared to the familiar Sanhok.
The winner earns a coveted spot in the PMGC 2025 tournament, slated for November 24 to December 14 in Thailand, where the best 40 teams worldwide will battle for the ultimate crown.
