Supercell, the creators of Clash of Clans (COC), recently faced a lot of criticism from players because of changes they made to the COC September 2024 Gold Pass rewards. The developers tried to adjust the rewards, but many players didn’t like the changes at all. There were a lot of complaints from the community, and after listening to the feedback, Supercell decided to fix the problem. They brought back one of the most popular rewards, which is a Hero skin, to make the players happy again.

Clash of Clans September 2024 Gold Pass Will Reward Hero Skin

In the COC September 2024 Update, Supercell originally decided to replace the much-loved Hero skin in Gold Pass with a new decoration called "Decisive Dice." The goal was to introduce more cosmetic items that all players could enjoy. However, this change didn’t go over well with the community.

Players quickly complained online, pointing out that many of them were already dealing with storage problems due to too many decorations. They felt that the Hero skins were more valuable, and since the new decoration was offered at the same price as the previous Gold Pass, it didn’t feel like a good deal.

So, just four days after the launch of the new Gold Pass, Supercell responded to the negative feedback. They admitted their mistake and announced that the Hero skin would return as the final reward in the premium track of the Gold Pass starting that month. The new Hero skin was revealed as the TableTop RPG Grand Warden, giving the character a cool new look.

Players were relieved and happy with the decision, praising Supercell for listening to their concerns and making changes based on the community's feedback.

To make up for the problems caused by the changes, Supercell decided to compensate players. They originally planned to give 20 Starry Ores (an in-game resource) on the free track of the Gold Pass. However, due to some technical difficulties, the Starry Ores were temporarily replaced by two Builder's Potions. The developers promised that the 20 Starry Ores would still be added to the Free Track in the second week of September, as they had initially planned.

Players were pleased with both the return of the Hero skin and Supercell’s effort to address the issue. Many praised the company’s decision as the "right response" and noted that it’s rare for a game developer to actually listen to player feedback and make changes based on it.

Now for the future too, Supercell has promised that the Gold Passes will continue to feature exclusive seasonal skins, which is great news for players who enjoy collecting these unique items. They also promised to communicate any changes to the Gold Pass ahead of time, ensuring that similar problems won't happen again in the future.
