Elon Musk has technically become the best Diablo 4 player in the world, clearing the Artificer’s Pit at Level 150 in just 1 minute and 52 seconds.

Guess what? Elon Musk, the guy behind Tesla, SpaceX, and other big companies, might now be the number one Diablo 4 player in the world. Yup, the same guy who builds rockets and electric cars is also killing it (literally) in this crazy-hard game. He cleared the Artificer’s Pit at Level 150 in just 1 minute and 52 seconds, smashing the previous record of 1:59. If his run is officially accepted by the global leaderboard on helltides.com, he’ll take the top spot. Not bad for a billionaire.
What Is the Artificer’s Pit?
Okay, so in Diablo 4, the Artificer’s Pit is one of the toughest challenges. It’s like the ultimate test to see how good you are. Players compete to beat it as fast as possible, and the times are ranked on a global leaderboard. Right now, the top player, Resistance, holds the record at 1:59. But Elon’s new time, if verified, will knock Resistance out of first place by seven whole seconds.
How Did He Become Best Diablo 4 Player?
Elon used a special build called the Quill Volley Spiritborn build. It’s super powerful because of a bug that lets players deal ridiculous amounts of damage—like, quadrillions of damage. Blizzard, the game’s developer, knows about this bug but isn’t fixing it until Season 7, so players like Musk are taking full advantage while they can.
He even joked about his achievement, saying on X (formerly Twitter), “I think Blizzard should give me a salesperson of the month award.” Why? Probably because his success has brought a ton of attention to the game.
So many life lessons to be learned from speedrunning video games on max difficulty. Teaches you to see the matrix, rather than simply exist in the matrix.Diablo Tier 150 finished in under 2 mins.(That's what she said) pic.twitter.com/KYvKm2vIy5

Before this big win, Musk was ranked 44th globally, which is still impressive. He used to be number 19, but a mid-season update shook things up, dropping his rank. Now, with this insane speedrun, he’s not just back in the game—he’s potentially on top of it.
So, will Musk’s run officially make him the best player in Diablo 4? We’ll have to wait for the leaderboard to update, but for now, it’s safe to say he’s earned some major gamer cred.
