Announced on October 12, 2025, Banyue hails from the mysterious Krampus Compliance Authority, a subsidiary of the powerful TOPS Alliance, and is the second character from this faction to be introduced after Dialyn.
Who Is Banyue in Zenless Zone Zero?
Banyue is described as a disciplined and intelligent construct who serves as Shifu in Failume Heights, where he is deeply respected for protecting people from both physical threats and scams. Despite his stoic, expressionless demeanor, those close to him sense a quiet warmth in his actions.
As Ye Shunguang of Yunkui Summit puts it:
"Our heartbeats, our breaths, our hunger — aren't those just 'algorithms' written in flesh and blood? ...I trust him, because when he acts, there's warmth behind his actions."
Yet, his strict side is also evident. Jufu recalls a moment when Banyue suddenly struck her while correcting her sweeping technique. His personality remains intriguingly ambiguous, strict, protective, and possibly emotional beneath the surface.
