With Invincible Season 2 set to finish up in a few weeks, it’s only natural to wonder what might be on the horizon for the popular superhero show. Thankfully, Season 3 of Invincible has not only been officially confirmed, it’s already in production.

This was revealed by Steven Yeun (Beef, Minari), who provides the voice for main character Mark Grayson. In a new interview with Collider, Yeun details how the team behind the show is already working on the next season of the show to reduce the wait for fans.

Invincible Season 3 Already In Development

According to Yeun, the team behind Invincible has “been working hard to get a lot of backlog done” and to get the next season done as quickly as possible. Due to the ambitious structure and production values of the show, together with the COVID-19 pandemic, fans had to wait for over two years between seasons 1 and 2. This type of long wait is hopefully a thing of the past now.

“For us, we knot that this big break was not fun”, reveals Yeun. They are trying to get ahead with producing episodes this time, as they are “banking episodes” for the next season.

While Yeun hasn’t revealed when to expect Invincible Season 3, his statements should make fans hopeful that it won’t take too long. With season 2 wrapping up in April, it is fair to assume that fans can expect the next season to release roughly a year later. Let's hope it won't take too much longer than that.
