Colin Farrel is said to return in the Batman 2 as well as in his own show, which now has a confirmed release date.
After The Batman's release, viewers and critics alike sang praises, not only for Robert Pattinson, but also for Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
His performance, coupled with his mask and makeup, turned him into an entirely different person. He was so well-received that he will star in his own spin-off series that is confirmed to release on September 19.
Penguin TV Spinoff Confirmed
The trailer for The Penguin first aired on July 28 and showed a gritty glimpse of what's to come. It looks like the show is going to tell a dark story that focuses around the Penguin's rise to power:

And alongside the spinoff, the villain will also return in the film sequel.
Matt Reeves, the director of The Batman, stated that Colin Farrell's Penguin has to be in a "certain place" for the Batman 2, confirming that the Penguin will play a major role in the upcoming movie.
It's important to note that Matt Reeves' Batman movies don't tie into the DC Universe that James Gunn is currently building. He calls it "The Batman Epic Crime Saga" and I couldn't be more excited for this!
