VALORANT Patch 10.00: Major Updates, New Agent Tejo, and More!

VALORANT kicks off 2025 with Patch 10.00, bringing a fresh wave of changes, including the introduction of a new agent, Tejo, revamped gameplay mechanics, and a new year-long Season 2025.

General Updates

Season 2025

VALORANT becomes a year-round calendar called Season 2025, with six Acts. At the start of the season and at mid-season, player ranks will reset; thus, continuous progress throughout the year is made.

Mechanics of Explosion

The logic for effects that are based on explosion was improved to deliver more consistent behavior of damage when explosions occur with agents like Raze, Sova, and Gekko.

Agent Updates

New Agent: Tejo

Tejo, the Colombian Initiatior, brings the explosives and intel-gathering focus to bear, deploying on January 8, 2025.

  • Special Delivery: a sticky grenade that knocks enemies around upon impact
  • Stealth Drone: drone which detects and disables enemies
  • Guided Salvo: location-locking missile targets with explosive detonations
  • Armageddon (Ultimate): waves of explosive damage along a set path

Brimstone's Stim Beacon

Equipping time reduction will help with faster deployment to keep things moving more fluid in gameplay

Cosmetics Updates

FLEX Customization Menu

The new FLEX cosmetic customization menu in Collections enables the equipping and assignment of items such as the default STAT-COM to the Expressions Wheel.

Esports Features

Esports Hub for VCT25

The Esports Hub will provide insights into the year-long VCT journey, new teams, and the International League Kickoff starting January 11.

Gameplay Systems Updates

Automatic Remake Voting

If a player goes AFK in the first round, a remake vote will automatically start and must be agreed on by a majority of remaining players.

Ping System

A "show map pings in world" cheat in custom game modes enables players to practice lineups much more effectively.

Map Updates

Map Rotations

Maps will rotate every Act, and this update:

  • IN: Fracture and Lotus are brought back to Competitive and Deathmatch queues.
  • OUT: Ascent and Sunset are temporarily taken out of Competitive and Deathmatch queues.
