BGMS Season 3 Format and Point System

The format of BGMS Season 3 will feature four key stages of competitive format: Opening Week, League Week, Playoffs, and Grand Finals. And after the series of exciting matches, it will end on August 11, 2024.

As for the BGMS Season 3 point system, the tournament will follow a 10-point scheme for all stages of the tournament. The result will be the awarding of points to teams depending on their performance in matches and accumulating total points to their overall standings.

BGMS Season 3 Rules and Points Allocation

Bounty System

The Bounty System is an exciting new element of this season, which can really give the most competitive edge. It will be implemented in League Week, and here's how it works:

  • The top four teams from the first match of each League Week will carry a bounty into the next match.
  • In the following games, the teams in the top four based on overall standings will carry the bounty.
  • Any team that eliminates all players from a bounty team will be awarded 10 bounty points.

Impact Player System

Another new feature is the Impact Player system, which adds a strategic twist to the game:

  • During League Week, each team's in-game leader (IGL) will randomly select an Impact Player from their lineup.
  • The point scored by the Impact Player will double for each kill.
  • This rule will be especially active on weekends during League Week, shaping the behaviors of many teams to play more assertively on those important days.

Powerplay Duration

The Powerplay rule returns from Season 2, designed to make the early stages of the game more action-packed.

  • All kills in the first zone of every game will be awarded double points.
  • This rule will be applicable for all the matches this tournament in BGMS Season 3, thereby pushing teams to infuse aggression in the play style right from the beginning.
