The BGMI H2 2025 Esports roadmap introduces BGMI Showdown and BGMI International Cup, offering Indian teams three PMGC slots.

KRAFTON India has unveiled its BGMI H2 2025 Esports roadmap, setting the stage for two blockbuster tournaments, BGMI Showdown 2025 (BMSD) and the brand-new BGMI International Cup 2025 (BMIC). Both events carry a prize pool of INR 1 Crore each and, for the first time ever, will collectively award three coveted slots for Indian teams in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025.
BGMI Showdown 2025 – India’s Gateway to the World
The BGMI Showdown 2025 will kick off on September 18, 2025, in Hyderabad, bringing together the country’s top 48 elite squads. These teams will be drawn from BGIS, BMPS, and approved third-party tournaments.
- Prize Pool: INR 1 Crore
- Format: Studio-style format with high-intensity matches
- Finals: Scheduled for October 10–12, 2025, with limited live-audience attendance
- Rewards:
- Winner secures a direct slot in PMGC 2025.
- Top 8 advance to the BGMI International Cup 2025.
This creates a dual-tiered qualification system, the first of its kind in Indian esports. It ensures national champions have both glory at home and a springboard to international competition.
BGMI International Cup 2025 – India Meets the World
Following the Showdown, India will host one of its biggest esports spectacles to date, the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2025, from October 31 to November 2, 2025.
- Format: Offline LAN event in India
- Teams: 16 (8 from India via BMSD + 8 invited squads from South Korea and Japan)
- Prize Pool: INR 1 Crore
- Rewards: Top 2 teams qualify for PMGC 2025.
This event is more than just a tournament; it is a declaration of India’s rising importance in the global esports ecosystem. For the first time, Indian fans will witness homegrown teams battle against international powerhouses from Korea and Japan on Indian soil.
BGMI Campus Tour 2025-2026 – Grassroots Expansion
Alongside the flagship events, KRAFTON is doubling down on grassroots esports with the BGMI Campus Tour 2025-2026, launching in October 2025.
The tour aims to:
- Expand to Tier-2 cities and colleges.
- Build a structured talent pipeline, helping young players transition from casual gaming to national leagues.
- Foster community engagement and professionalise student esports at an early stage.
This initiative follows the success of previous grassroots programs like BGMI Rising Star and signals KRAFTON’s long-term commitment to creating a self-sustaining esports ecosystem in India.
According to Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, the vision is clear: “Our intent is to build pathways from college campuses to international championships. The BGMI Showdown, BMIC, and Campus Tour are all steps to put India on the world esports map while giving players the recognition they deserve.”
All in all, the BGMI H2 2025 Esports roadmap is arguably KRAFTON India’s most ambitious push yet. With two tournaments worth INR 2 Crore combined, three PMGC slots, and the expansion of grassroots initiatives, this marks a new era for Indian esports.
