India's Dota 2 team is all set to compete in OXY 2024 after topping the South Asia qualifiers and defeating teams from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
The Indian Dota 2 team, "Team Avengers," has earned a spot in the OXY 2024 tournament, which will be held in Sochi, Russia, from October 21-26, 2024. They topped the leaderboard in the South Asia Qualifiers that was held online from August 22-26, 2024, where they played against teams from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, and secured their place in this big international esports event.
Indian Dota 2 Team "Team Avengers" Are Part Of OXY 2024 Tournament
This will be India’s first time participating in the OXY tournament, also known as the Open Esports Student Games, organized by the Russian Esports Federation.
There will be 38 national teams from all over the world competing, and the prize pool is 5 million rubles (around ₹45 lakh).
Team Avengers is led by their captain Abhishek Yadav, and the team members are Dhruv Kohli, Subhadeep Das, Nagaraj, and Manav Kunte. They were selected through the National Esports Championship 2024 (NESC24), which took place from August 12-19, 2024. Team Avengers wereundefeated in this event and earned their qualification for the OXY 2024.
This is a big achievement for Indian esports, and the team is getting ready for the OXY 2024 Sochi tournament.
