Bihar Divisional Esports Championship by BSSA to Participate in the Esports Olympic in Future

Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) has announced the Bihar Divisional Esports Championship to promote esports in the state and enhance the country's prospects for participation in the Esports Olympics.

The event is scheduled to start on 14th August. It is a grassroots-level esports tournament involving 30 districts grouped into 9 divisions. The tournament will feature four main games: BGMI, FC 24, RC 24, and Chess. Participation is exclusively open to Bihar Esports players.

Bihar Divisional Esports Championship Registration Dates and Details

The tournament schedule begins with the registration period starting on August 1st and ending on August 10th. Following registration, the Division Level competition will commence on August 14th and run through to August 31st. This stage will see teams battling it out to qualify for the next level. The excitement culminates in the State Level Finals, scheduled for October 26th and 27th, where the top teams from the Division Level will compete to determine the state champions.

How to Register for the Bihar Divisional Esports Championship?

Players from Bihar can register for the Bihar Divisional Esports Championship on the UNIV app from August 1 to 10. In a video announcement, Ravindra Shankaran, the Director General and CEO of BSSA unveiled the upcoming Divisional Esports Championship. The initiative aims to promote esports in Bihar and encourage participation in the Esports Olympics.

"We aim to have the youth of Bihar represent the Indian team in the upcoming Esports Olympics. With this goal in mind, we are organizing the first Divisional Esports Championship in August. Details will be available on the official BSSA website as well as on our social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn," Shankaran announced.

And he also added “A medal is a medal, whether it comes from Kabaddi or esports. Since esports is now recognized by the Olympics, we are motivating and training our youngsters for the Olympics, so that Indian players compete in the Olympic Games for esports. Let’s come together and participate in the Divisional tournament to provide selected candidates with better opportunities in the future.”
