Aurora Gaming PH just made history at the M7 World Championship. They swept Indonesia's Alter Ego 4-0 in the grand finals at Jakarta's Tennis Indoor Senayan. The crowd went wild, but the Northern Lights from the Philippines owned the stage.

People used to call them chokers after tough losses. Not anymore. They're world champions now, grabbing the top spot and extending the Philippines' streak to six straight M-Series wins.

M7 World Championship Prize and What It Means

Aurora PH pockets $320,000 from the $1 million prize pool. Alter Ego takes second place with $150,000.

But the real win? It's the Philippines' sixth Mobile Legends world title since M2 in 2021. Indonesia and Malaysia pushed hard, yet Filipino teams keep ruling.

EXP Laner Edward Jay "Edward" Dapadap grabs his second world title, first from M3 with Blacklist International.

His teammates, Jungler Jonard Cedrix "DemonKite" Caranto, Gold Laner Jan Dominic "Domengkite" Delmundo, Mid Laner Kenneth Carl "Yue" Tadeo, and Roamer Dylan Aaron "Light" Catipon, claim their first. That brings the total Filipino MLBB champs to 27.

Aurora Gaming's Road to the Grand Finals

Aurora PH entered as the Philippines' second seed. They finished behind Team Liquid PH in MPL Season 16. Alter Ego was Indonesia's second rep, trailing ONIC.

Both teams crushed the Swiss Stage. Alter Ego went undefeated, beating Aurora Gaming (Turkiye), Black Sentence Esports (Chile), and Yangon Galacticos (Myanmar). Aurora PH went 3-1, losing first to TLPH but rebounding with wins over CFU Gaming (Cambodia), Team Zone (Mongolia), and Team Spirit (Russia).

Knockout Stage teams included Aurora Turkiye, TLPH, ONIC, Yangon Galacticos, and Spirit.

Epic Knockout Stage Battles

Aurora PH got revenge on TLPH in a 2-1 first-round win. Alter Ego shocked ONIC 2-0.

In the upper bracket semis, Aurora PH beat Alter Ego 3-1. Then they faced Selangor Red Giants (Malaysia) in the upper finals. Down 1-2, Aurora PH clawed back to win 3-2 and snag the first finals spot.

Alter Ego raged through the lower bracket, beating Team Spirit, TLPH, and SRG to force a rematch.

The Dominant Sweep

Game one went 15 minutes; Aurora PH edged it out. Game two, the longest at 16 minutes, gave them a 2-0 lead.

Alter Ego fought back in game three, but Aurora PH shut them down in under 11 minutes for 3-0.

Game four? An 11-minute rout. Aurora PH never let up, sweeping 4-0. They erased memories of their early M6 exit and proved doubters wrong.

This marks the third straight year an Indonesian team has fallen to Filipinos in M7 grand finals. Alter Ego fought bravely but couldn't match the Northern Lights' fire.

Well, now Mobile Legends belongs to the Philippines. Six world titles in a row show why. Aurora PH's journey, from heartbreak to glory, inspires every young player dreaming big.
