South Korea’s DRX made a splash by securing two Chicken Dinners on Day 1 and stands third with 54 points. Other notable teams include Team Secret and Regnum Carya Esports, who currently hold fourth and fifth spots with 50 and 42 points, respectively. China’s Weibo Gaming and Nepal’s Horaa Esports round out the top eight with 40 and 38 points.
India’s Team AxTMG, fresh off their BMPS 2025 win, had a slow start and currently ranks 11th with 22 points. Team Falcons is close behind at 12th with the same points. At the lower end, EArena and NongShim Redforce occupy the bottom two spots with 18 and 16 points.
PMWC 2025 Day 1 Match Highlights and Points Breakdown
Match 1: Sanhok
DRX Gaming came out strong, earning 19 points with a solid performance. Yangon Galacticos also impressed with 19 points. Team Vision and Falcons picked up 14 and 13 points, respectively. Team AxTMG earned 10 points in this opener.
Match 2: Erangel
Alpha7 Esports showed their dominance with a 20-point win. Both 4Thrives and Team Secret scored 15 points each. Horaa and Regnum Carya managed 7 points apiece. Team AxTMG lagged a bit with only 4 points.

Regnum Carya took the win with 18 points. Team Secret scored 16 points, followed by DRX with 15 points. Team AxTMG failed to add any points to their tally.
PMWC 2025 Tournament Format Recap
The Group Stage runs from July 25 to 27, with 24 teams divided into three groups of eight. Over three days, a total of 18 matches will be played — six matches per day. Each group plays 12 matches in total.
The top 8 teams from overall points will advance straight to the Grand Finals. The remaining 16 teams will move on to the Survival Stage, scheduled for July 29 to 30. The best 8 teams from Survival will then join the Grand Finals from August 1 to 3.
On Day 3 of the Grand Finals, the “Smash Rule” comes into effect — once a team reaches the match point threshold, securing a “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” (WWCD) ends the tournament with that team crowned champion.
