Esports history is about to be rewritten as PUBG United 2025 brings together the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) and the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) under one unified banner. Announced by KRAFTON, this groundbreaking event will debut in Bangkok, Thailand this November, uniting PC and mobile esports communities for a first-of-its-kind global showdown.

What Makes PUBG United 2025 Special?

Traditionally, PGC and PMGC have been treated as two separate global tournaments, usually held back-to-back at the end of the year. For instance, in 2024, the PMGC ran from October to early December, followed immediately by the PGC. But this time, PUBG United is breaking tradition.

According to KRAFTON and PUBG Esports, PUBG United 2025 will act as a month-long esports festival, with the potential to run from November 24 to December 14. Both platforms—PC and mobile—will crown their respective champions under a unified global stage, similar to events like the Pokémon World Championship or SuperFest.

The tournament will bring together:

  • 33 PC teams competing in First Person Perspective (FPP) mode.
  • 39 Mobile teams battling it out in classic PMGC formats.

PUBG United 2025 Host City: Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok will host this historic event at the prestigious IMPACT complex, an arena with space for over 11,000 fans. Known for its world-class facilities and convenient metro access, the venue promises an electrifying live experience for audiences.

This is also significant as it marks the first time a Southeast Asian city hosts the PMGC season finale, showcasing PUBG’s commitment to expanding its global reach and connecting esports communities across regions.

Tournament Formats

PUBG Mobile – PMGC 2025

The mobile leg will retain its established competitive structure:

  • The Gauntlet: 16 regional champions enter, seven move directly to the finals.
  • Group Stage: 32 teams battle it out across 18 matches each, with the top three advancing, while mid-ranking teams go to Last Chance.
  • Last Chance Stage: 16 teams play 12 matches to secure two final Grand Finals slots.
  • Grand Finals: 16 teams clash across 18 matches to decide the 2025 PMGC champions.

The prize pool for the PMGC 2025 alone is estimated to exceed $4 million, making it one of the richest tournaments in mobile esports history.

PUBG PC – PGC 2025

Although KRAFTON has not confirmed final details for PGC 2025, last year’s structure introduced a circuit system:

  • Teams ranked by global points started on different days depending on position.
  • Lower placements led to eliminations early in the event.
  • The top 16 advanced to the Grand Finals.
  • Finals used the SUPER scoring system, rewarding placement points and eliminations equally across 18 matches.

This format may continue in PUBG United 2025, allowing the PC competition to retain its high-stakes format within the broader festival environment.

All in all, PUBG United 2025 isn’t just another set of global finals; it’s a paradigm shift in esports competition. By merging PGC and PMGC into one monumental event, PUBG is driving forward a more inclusive, star-powered global stage for players, teams, and fans alike.
