PUBG Esports has just shared its plan for 2025, and it looks like an exciting year is coming up for all the competitive gaming fans out there. After the huge success of the PUBG Nations Cup in 2024, which had over 510,000 peak viewers and more than 3 million hours watched, the team at KRAFTON is ready to keep the momentum going. They’ve got a bunch of tournaments lined up that’ll surely keep players and fans excited.

What’s Coming Up for PUBG Esports in 2025?

The structure of PUBG Esports will pretty much stay the same, with three main events leading the way: the PUBG Global Series (PGS), the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC), and the PUBG Global Championship (PGC). These are the biggest events in PUBG's competitive scene, and only the very best teams will get a shot at making it to the PGC in 2025.

Here’s a quick look at the schedule for 2025:

  • March: Regional Series begins
  • April: PGS 7
  • May: PGS 8
  • June: PUBG Nations Cup
  • July: More Regional Series
  • August: A short break
  • September: Another Regional Series
  • October: PGS 9
  • November: PGS 10
  • December: PUBG Global Championship

This schedule means that teams will need to stay sharp and consistent all year if they want to reach the grand finale at the PUBG Global Championship in December.

PUBG Global Series (PGS)

The PUBG Global Series (PGS) is set to have four events in 2025, each featuring 24 teams. Ten of these spots are saved for the best Global Partner Teams, while the other 14 spots are up for grabs through the Regional Series qualifiers held in different parts of the world like China, Korea, EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), APAC (Asia Pacific), and the Americas. These qualifiers are super important because they give teams from all over the world a chance to prove themselves and compete on the global stage.

PUBG Nations Cup (PNC)

The PUBG Nations Cup is coming back in 2025, and it’s a big deal! This event is all about national teams, with players representing their home countries. It’s not just about individual skills here; it’s also about playing with pride for your country, which always makes it even more exciting for the fans. It’s one of those tournaments where the best players from different regions come together as a team, and everyone’s watching to see which country comes out on top.

Global Partner Teams

KRAFTON has this cool thing called the Global Partner Teams program. It includes some of the best esports teams out there, and these teams get guaranteed spots in the PGS events. This is a big deal because it means they don’t have to go through the qualifiers like everyone else. Some of the top teams in this program right now include:

  • 17 Gaming
  • FaZe Clan
  • Four Angry Men
  • Gen.G
  • NAVI
  • Petrichor Road
  • Soniqs
  • Twisted Minds
  • CERBERUS Esports
  • Daytrade Gaming

And for 2025, KRAFTON plans to open up this program to even more teams. Starting from December 1st, 2024, until February 2025, new esports organizations can apply to join this elite group, giving them a shot at competing on the biggest stage without the usual hurdles.

Regional Series for PGC 2025

Talented regional teams will continue to have an important pathway to demonstrate their abilities and maybe earn a spot in the PUBG Global Championship, the largest PUBG Esports competition, thanks to the everlasting Regional Series.

For PUBG fans, this roadmap is really exciting because it means there’s a ton to look forward to next year. From the intense regional matches to the big finals at the Global Championship, there’s going to be nonstop action. And with the PUBG Nations Cup making a return, everyone will be rooting for their favorite country to take home the win.
