160GB storage space & 16 GB RAM: Stalker 2 system requirements updated

A week before releasing Stalker 2, the developer has updated the system requirements – and some numbers experienced quite the jump.

Only a week ahead of the release of Stalker 2 GSC Game world released finalized system requirements – even bigger than the ones we already had.

Instead of the already whopping 150GB in storage space that was required before, we’re now at 160GB. And while that doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal, the minimum RAM doubled from 8GB to 16GB, basically downgrading the “recommended” listed specs now the “medium” ones.

If you want to play Stalker 2 at 4k with 60 fps, GSC even provided “epic” specs, as you can see in the following lists.

Low (1080p, 30 fps):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB, or Intel Arc A750
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 160GB SSD

Medium (1080p, 60 fps):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super / RTX 4060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 160GB SSD

High (1440p, 60 fps):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti / RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • RAM: 32GB
  • Storage: 160GB SSD

Epic (4K, 60+ fps):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
  • RAM: 32GB
  • Storage: 160GB SSD

These new numbers concerned a few users on X (formerly Twitter) and Steam, looking at the bump in the minimum spec, but to see how the game will perform in the end, we have to wait until the release of Stalker 2 on November 20.

Are you excited for Stalker 2? Are you as concerned with the new specs or are you confident in your system?
