The new Xbox Cipher controllers are bringing back 90s nostalgia, and they look incredible.
In pop culture these last few decades, we seem especially orientated to the past. Pop music from 2020 sounds like synth pop, Stranger Things is an entire homage to the 80s, and Cuphead brought back the old-timey cartoon style we know and love.
Now, Xbox are following suit by making a new line of see-through controllers that evoke nostalgia for Millennial gamers.
The Xbox Cipher series
The new translucent Xbox controllers perfectly capture the essence of the old ones, while adding a modern touch, especially with the black handles.
Xbox announced the controllers two days ago, and the reactions are very positive.
HELLO IVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS ON TIK TOK FOR SO LONG ITS FINALLY HAPPENING
Christmas came early.
Sigh, unzips wallet...
The translucent cases come in pink, purple, green, red, teal, and there's also a clear one.
The controllers are part of Xbox Design Lab, so you're able to customize the triggers and buttons, however you want.
Right now, the price starts at $150, which of course isn't cheap, but Xbox controllers are able to last a long time without drift.
If you're looking for a cheaper version, there is the Ghost Cipher Special Edition, which is completely see-through with some golden touches.
The price of this model starts at $70.
What do you think? Are you excited about these controllers?
