The new medieval-themed Doom title comes in various editions – here you can see all of them.

As announced by developer id Software Doom: The Dark Ages is coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on May 13. The game promises to go back to a more combat-based gameplay with less mid-air platforming thanks to a new parry system and a whole new arsenal of brutal medieval weapons.
When it comes to classic franchises launching new titles, it is more than common nowadays that there is not just the game to be sold but a special edition with additional content to make a quick buck.

Doom: The Dark Ages - Standard Edition

The standard edition for $69.99 just features the main game but comes with the pre-order bonus of the Void Doom Slayer Skin if you purchase the game before release.
Doom: The Dark Ages - Premium Edition

The premium edition for $100 comes with several additions with the most interesting probably being the fact that you can play the game two days before release on May 11. You will also receive a digital artbook and soundtrack, three in-game skins for the Doom Slayer, Dragon and Atlan as well as access to the first post-launch campaign DLC.
In case you already pre-ordered the digital version of the game for Xbox or PlayStation and want to get these benefits too, you also have the option to purchase a Premium Upgrade for $34.99.
Doom: The Dark Ages - Collector’s Bundle

Your only option to get your hands on physical collectibles with your copy of Doom: The Dark Ages is the Collector’s Bundle for $199.99. In addition to all the bonuses featured in the premium edition, you will also get a 12-inch statue of the Doom Slayer and a replica of the runic red keycard from the game coming in an exclusive steelbook case.
In the end, the right choice really depends on how big of a Doom fan you are, if you just want to experience the gameplay or have a deeper dive into the series and when you would like to start killing demons with swords and battle axes.
If you just want to play the game, the standard version will be absolutely fine. If you’re interested in the art and sound of Doom while starting the game even earlier with some more skins, check out the premium edition and if you are the type of player that needs all of this and also something to put on your shelf, the Collector’s Bundle will be just right up your alley.
